Warehouse Relocation Service in Ocala, FL
When you move buildings, the pallet rack has to come down, travel and go back up right. Our warehouse relocation service tears down, moves and reinstalls warehouse racking for companies moving within Marion County or along I-75, and plans the new layout so you can use the space you're moving into.
What Our Warehouse Moving Services Cover
A rack move is more than loading steel on a truck. We count and tag every frame, beam, wire deck and pallet support in the old building, draw the new layout in CAD, tear down in sequence, haul, and reinstall with the rack anchored to the floor and load signs posted.
- Inventory and tagging of existing rack
- CAD layout for the new building
- Phased teardown to keep you shipping
- Transport and staging at the new site
- Reinstall, plumb and anchor
- Added components where the new layout needs them
Moving From Close-In Buildings Out to I-75
A common Ocala move goes from an older building along N Magnolia Ave, NW 8th Ave or the US-441 / US-301 corridor out to newer space in the NW Ocala cluster near US-27 and NW 44th Ave, Florida Crossroads Commerce Park off CR 484, or an airport logistics park on SW 60th Ave. The new building is almost always taller.
That extra height is worth planning for. Your existing uprights may be too short to reach it, so we look at taller frames with your existing beams, or adding a level of selective pallet rack. Moving into a cooler or freezer opens the door to drive-in rack or pallet flow.
How We Differ From General Warehouse Movers
Most warehouse moving companies move inventory and equipment well, but rack is structural. Beam connections, frame bracing, anchors and load ratings have to come back together the way the manufacturer intended. As warehouse relocation companies go, we are rack people first: we design, supply and install pallet rack, so the reinstall is checked against a real layout.
Many companies hire warehouse movers for product and fixtures and bring us in for the racking. We coordinate the sequence so empty bays come down as product leaves and new bays go up before product arrives.
Scheduling a Warehouse Relocation Around Florida Weather
Hurricane season runs June through November. We build slack into move dates in those months and keep outdoor staging short so material can be secured. In summer, crews start early to beat the heat in non-air-conditioned buildings and the afternoon thunderstorms.
Distributors that serve the whole state from Ocala often can't go dark for a week. Phased moves — half the rack first, then the rest — keep orders going out. If you're moving up the road to Gainesville or down to Wildwood, the same plan applies.
